Welcome to Che Underground: The Forum

Roman forumHere’s another way of bringing together the folks who shaped San Diego’s underground music scene in the early ’80s as well as anyone who’s interested in that brilliant flash in the rock-‘n’-roll pan.

Che Underground: The Forum lets anyone read about the Che Underground scene and beyond. It also provides registered, approved users the chance to create threads; post content; and interact about their activities past, present and future.

Here’s what you do:

  • Go and have a look around. Until you register, all you can do is read.
  • Register. When your friendly administrators see you in the queue, we’ll give you access.
  • Participate. You’ll be able to start and comment on threads. Get creative; we’re looking for new topics and new voices!

But first, a few simple rules:
N.b.: “Public” means public! Never forget that when you hit that Post button, your words may be be seen forever by employers, creditors, your kids/grandkids, and the government. We’re great, offbeat, creative people, and we should celebrate that — but don’t assume that anything public is under the radar.

Use common sense and the Golden Rule:

  • Don’t discuss drug use or serious criminal offenses on the Che Underground blog or forum.
  • Don’t implicate others for past activities that might cause them embarrassment today. (Warning your friends in advance before you tell tales is never a bad idea.)
  • I hope we won’t have to cut off anyone’s access — but I do reserve the right to deny or cancel access to anyone who intentionally exposes our members to embarrassment or discomfort.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions about our policies. This is a work in progress, and the idea is to have fun and learn about our shared history. Hope you’ll join us!
