Dubstep and grime in San Diego

(Wallflowers bassist Paul Howland extends an invitation to experience his current avocation.)

"Watch Your Dubstep" signMatthew Rothenberg keeps encouraging me to talk about new music on here, so here goes:

Anyone in SD even mildly curious about dubstep and grime should check out MRK1 at the Kava Lounge this week. Read more here. See you there.

P.S. if you do make it down, hit me up for one of my mix CDs.

  1. Yeah, Dub War NYC is the big night there.Residents are Joe Nice, Dave Q, and Juakali. They’ve hosted a U.K. talent like Kode 9,Loefah,Mala,Quest and Silkie,Skream and more as well as US talent like Moldy, The Bomb Squad,Emcee Child and many more. If I lived anywhere near NYC I’d be going there all the time.Oh yeah, and you can pick up my studio mixes and radio shows here.Or click for these 2 studio mixes (in cd friendly lengths) The Spring Cleaning Mix , The Deep End Mix
