What’s an iconic concert without an iconic poster? In honor of Che Games for May, the 25th anniversary tribal gathering slated for May 29-30 at San Diego’s Casbah, Ray Brandes and artist Kevin Diamond have created this handsome memento so participants near and far can own a piece of music history.
Enjoy this commemorative gift, and we hope to see you there!
Got Che? Che-check it out:
Very cool, Ray and Kevin!
The slogan for our golden year 2025 reunion will have to be “Don’t Eat the Green…Jello”
Quoth the Raven: “Beware the Jubjub bird.”
I offer my apologies for having to bow out.
I will reconsider my other life commitments, should the Games be re-dubbed DaveFest IV, and held about here:

Underground overdue
A quarter century later, San Diego’s first DIY movement looks back to offer life lessons for a new generation.
The owners of the E street house: one of the daughters worked in our customer service department. In 2000, I went to a party at the E street house that she put on. I remember the feeling of being at that house. Everything came back when I saw the little room under the stairs. It was the same Works house.
I’ll find a Schaefer can and leave it on the lawn in offering.
Here’s another story, this time from the Reader:

Dave Fleminger reports we got a half-page in the Union-Tribune, including a quote from me that we “all hated hippies.” LOL
(Actually was saying that the little hippie touches we brought to the mix were like raw meat, ’cause mods and punks alike hated hippies in those days. But oh, well — sorry, hippies! We love you.)
Hey, great……… Do you need a CREDIT card for the poster, too??!?!

Sorry to hear that you can’t make it Jerry. We will miss you!
I DJ tonight in Alameda and fly tomorrow. Can’t wait to see the bands and old friends!
Wow, that was a long and very cool day. Noise 292 practiced, and I saw Jeff Lucas for the first time in a decade and Dave Rinck, Sergio, Lou Damian, Paul Allen, Carina Burns and Kathy Q for the first time in more than 20 years.
Everyone looks beautiful … Very tired, very stoked. Very big day tomorrow! Dag.
Kind, Dean.
Tonight in Alameda, you are hosting another bunch of folks, from a different underground subculture I was a part of in the 90’s. NirvanaNet/PIGDOG. Baron Earl is the guy who ran one of a number of underground BBS’s and USENET forums -- before the WWW was much of nothing…
They are having a get-together at the lounge tonight.
Another crew I have had to slink out on. But one of these days.
Jeremiah, Sorry to hear you won’t be making it.
Annie and I are heading south soon from Leucadia. I’m tired and exhilarated. A bit overwhelmed but excited to see a bunch of people I haven’t seen in a million years. Jeremiah, I’m sorry I won’t see you there. It’s been awhile since we hung out at the Cafe International. Hair Theatre practiced today for the first time w/the complete lineup. On second run it sounded good.
I have to say Jeremiah, I too am sad I will not get to see your face.
pat works’ house… the phone book on the wall. kevin lyons on the lawn hanging out with me, smoking chesterfields. i miss that place. and dirks dads.
i would like to have a poster to hang up. someday?

Ava: If Ray and Kevin can gin up a PDF version, it’d make a handsome printout!
I say, “Hey, I want a poster!”
I’m gonna say it one more time… I want a poster!!!
Lovely poster!!! Thanks Ray and Kevin!!
Just printed it and it’s already proudly on display…I agree a scalable PDF would be fantastic for printing up big but just the same this is a totally sweet keepsake in it’s current format! Beautious!
