Tom Goddard’s trove of flyers continues to bear dividends for Che Underground: The Blog. Today’s bequest from the Goddard Collection features show pieces from the Morlocks’ 1984 and 1985 performances in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco, created by artists including Jerry Cornelius and Kristen Tobiason.
“For more information, call [Tell-Tale Hearts bassist] Mike [Stax],” reads the Tobiason flyer in the lead spot of this post. “If he ain’t home, call [Morlocks guitarist] Ted [Friedman] … If he ain’t home, call [Morlocks bassist] Jeff [Lucas] … ,” providing phone numbers for each. Now that’s customer service!
Morlocks MP3s:
Who can help me ID the rest of the artists?
The fourth flyer — the dusky pink one advertising the UCSD gym show — is that a Kristi Maddocks piece?
How about the blue-green zombie image?
The last piece in this set seems to be signed “Nadler.” Would that be Larry Nadler?
wow. Tom, I am amazed that you have these. I did the web of eyeballs and the zombies -- which was collaborative. I believe Jerry did the Morlocks lettering, as well as the heart icon at the bottom right.
the swedish american hall flyer was drawn by Heiko Adler, a talented guy who lived at the Page Street house in San Francisco.
I love how Jeremiah’s iconic signature evokes the tugra (calligraphic personal emblem/signature) used by the Ottoman sultans, which are artworks in their own right.

You all probably know of them already, but these guys were definately influenced by your oeuvre:

I never knew that Larry Nadler produced any fliers, but would like to know if he did that one signed “Nadler”.
Dean: Per Kristen, that signature is actually “H ADLER,” for San Francisco good guy Heiko Adler.
