Trying to remember- the date was a couple of weeks before I left home, so I should have been there- was this the show where you played “Rawhide” as the encore, leading Terry Marine into a fit of ecstatic dancing?
And what is that Jerry says? I can’t quite make it out….
Wow, Dave Anderson’s a great drummer…that’s awesome. Even a minute and 40 seconds of that is a lot for most drummers to keep up… Great song, too.
I listened to that Salvation Army LP continually, Summer ’82, in the garage gluing Kevin’s Rickenbacker 12 back together..didn’t know there was a D Boon connection with that band. Wiki tells me the first single was on the Minutemen’s label…cool stuff. (btw, check out the “We Jam Econo” DVD!)
Jerry’s saying “there’s no place like home” like Dorothy..either coincidence or he was looking at our setlist.
Odd aside: does anybody remember a Scottish guy with a mustache that sometimes worked at the Int’l Blend/King’s Rd? My memory of him was he was always wearing a sweater. One afternoon he was talking/lecturing me about playing music, giving me some off-the-cuff criticism and advice about performing, etc…he told me he had played drums in a band in the 70’s and his name was Robbie McIntosh. Later I discovered Robbie McIntosh was the drummer for AWB and had died in 1974. Was this guy joking with me, was he a spectre…? Does anybody else remember seeing him there?
