If you enjoyed (or missed) Che Games for May in 2009, here’s another chance to join us at San Diego’s Casbah for the first official Che Underground event of 2010, featuring the Town Criers, Manual Scan and the Blues Gangsters.
This Saturday night event will feature historic performances by some of San Diego’s finest sons and daughters. Jubilation guaranteed!

- The Town Criers! This show marks the first appearance in 20 years by the seminal alt-country combo fronted by Tell-Tale Heart Ray Brandes.
- Manual Scan!! This band is more vital than ever; after its electrifying performance in May, they’re back for an encore that promises to blow the doors off.
- The Blues Gangsters!!! The San Diego debut of a new collaboration featuring members of the Wallflowers, the Rockin’ Dogs, the Answers and Everybody Violet.
Admission will be $10 in advance, $12 the day of the gig.

Gary Heffern & The Penetrators werte the inspiration and driving force behind this show in the first place! So, it breaks my itsy bitsy heart that I won’t have a chance to sing with Heff on January 27th in his solo show THIS TIME AROUND…but I’m looking forward to a time down the road, perhaps later in the Spring, when Then Penetrators and Gary can reschedule their much anticipated Rockfest in San Diego…and perhaps take the show on the road up the coast a bit.
On that note, The Blues Gangsters are super psyched to be performing their firsrt Live gig in their hometown of San Diego!
Just to put it out there…another San Diego band reunion is happening on the same @#%dang night! Helvis and the Helvettes, featuring Sergio and Sergio Castillo from Hair Theatre, are playing at the Royal Dive bar in Oceanside. Formed after the breakup of HT, circa 1995, Helvis is an Elvis influenced punk band.
